Questions
What does JOOM do?
We design buildings: architecture and engineering design from the first idea to the technical design, and support during construction where we are appointed. The scope of each project is set out in its written agreement.
Who do you work for?
Developers, hospitality operators, businesses and private clients who are commissioning a building. The projects on this website range from houses to towers.
Where do you work?
In Egypt, the United Kingdom, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and Europe, through companies registered and licensed in each place. We take on work elsewhere only with a locally licensed entity. See Jurisdictions and governing law.
Are the projects on the website built?
Projects shown may be at any stage, from concept to completion, and some may not be built. Ask us about the status of any project. See Disclaimers and representation of projects.
How do we start a project?
Tell us who the building is for and where it will be. See Start a project.
Who will I sign an agreement with?
New agreements are made by SAMADROCK LTD, trading as byJOOM, or by another entity named in the agreement, including an entity registered in Egypt for work there. See Working with JOOM: agreements.
What does it cost?
Fees depend on the scope, size and location of the project. We do not publish fees. Each is set out in a written proposal.
Do you supervise construction?
Only if the agreement says so. Design review visits are not supervision unless the agreement says they are.
Who owns the designs?
The designs are the original work of their creator and are protected by copyright. They are not owned by any company. When the fees due are paid, the client receives a licence to use them for the project and the site named in the agreement. See Working with JOOM: agreements.
