For everyone nearby
The Wellbeing Clinic is a community health centre for everyone in the neighbourhood. It holds GP surgeries, ultrasound and diagnostic rooms, physiotherapy, a pharmacy and a café, arranged around a central atrium and a planted courtyard, with active shopfronts on the street.
Red brick to match the street
A four-storey building in red brick matches the surrounding terraced streets, with a glazed ground floor of pharmacy and café. In the picture on a wet evening the brick glows and the shop windows are lit, so that the clinic reads as a part of the street rather than as an institution set apart from it.

A daylit atrium
A tall, daylit atrium lights the reception, the waiting areas and the stairs, and a rooftop skylight brings sun to the heart of the building. In the interior pictures the space is high and warm, with timber detailing and terrazzo floors. A clinic does not have to feel clinical.
Rooms for care
The consulting rooms, the diagnostics room, the physiotherapy room and the pharmacy are simple, bright and calm, with large windows and plain materials. In a garden corridor, brick and glazing look out onto green.
Local brick, terrazzo floors and timber detailing that wear well, and a generous plan that can change use over time.

A café and a pharmacy for the street
At the ground floor a pharmacy and café face the street with active shopfronts. For passers-by they are the part of the building that is easiest to enter.
Wearing well
Local brick, terrazzo floors and timber detailing wear well, and a generous plan can change use over time. The Wellbeing Clinic is designed for the long life of a community building, which is a life of many changes.
